The Little Changes you Make

If you've had really bad conversation skills, gestures, habits, mannerisms and impulses,
And you've actively tried to get rid of them and smooth out your actions on all fronts,
The satisfaction you'd have when you notice that the bad conversational habit/mannerism you had is no longer there or when you are able to hold back yourself in front of delicious food without forcing or when you face a tough challenge and don't fall into despair like you usually would is one of the less appreciated wins of personal life.

Regardless of whether it's conscious or not, we always try to avoid the mess we usually make and try to find a better way to do things.
I find that the very small wins such as not talking impulsively when someone is trying to tell something is not often considered as a “win”.
The tiny improvement you make in your day-to-day life when it comes to habits, communication, time management, routines etc. are the biggest wins you will ever get (if you ask me)
Why? Because all your life is based on the DAY and what you do with it.
If the things you do 1000’s of times in your life are properly done and improved upon, then your day (and your life) would be better each time you achieve your target.

And I've been noticing these very tiny shifts I was trying to make with the way I talk, what I do with my time, how I prioritise things etc. improve in the last few months. When I realised that, it made me feel like I'm going the right way.
I don't think I'm the alone in this. I'm sure there would be things you have sworn you’d stop doing or start doing.
And you'd have made very very minute improvement towards it.
Appreciate those tiny wins. Although having a Large Goal with fortune and fame in the end can be strived for,
It's the day-to-day refinements you make to your character, personality, mindset, communication that brings in all the good stuff.
Best,
Kapil.
